Strategic Product Roadmap

At DocChat, we build in public alignment with the evolving needs of the UAE financial sector. Our roadmap is driven directly by feedback from Chief Compliance Officers and Risk Managers at our partner institutions.

Our Development Philosophy

We prioritize features based on three core pillars: Regulatory Alignment, Security Hardening, and Operational Velocity. Every feature deployed to the DocChat platform undergoes rigorous security auditing before general availability.

Disclaimer: The following roadmap represents our current strategic intentions. Timelines and specific feature scopes are subject to change based on shifts in CBUAE regulatory guidelines and critical security priorities.

Upcoming Quarter (Q3 2026)

Enterprise Billing and Invoicing Engine

We are finalizing a comprehensive billing and invoicing system. This will include dynamic credit-based pricing models, cryptographic logging of financial events, and automated PDF invoice generation for tenant operators. Integration with leading ERP software via automated daily settlement exports will ensure accounting transparency.

Advanced Tenant Provisioning

We plan to roll out a streamlined tenant provisioning wizard, allowing institutional administrators to deploy new secure workspaces with pre-configured organizational settings and branding. This will support custom domain mapping (e.g., secure.yourbank.ae) and localized email templates out of the box.

Security Audit and Dependency Hardening

We are planning a rigorous platform-wide vulnerability audit. Critical pathways will be verified against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, with specific mitigation strategies implemented for transitive UI dependencies, ensuring banking-grade resilience from the browser to the database.

Next Quarter (Q4 2026)

Automated OCR and Data Extraction

Integration of secure, on-premise Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. This will allow the platform to automatically extract key data points (e.g., Name, Expiry Date, Document Number) from standard UAE documents like the Emirates ID and Trade Licenses, significantly reducing manual data entry for relationship managers. Extracted data will automatically populate downstream KYC screening lists.

Enhanced Core Banking Webhooks

Expansion of our outbound webhook ecosystem to support more granular event triggers. This will facilitate deeper integrations with proprietary core banking mainframes, allowing real-time synchronization of customer onboarding statuses. Specifically, new webhook payloads will include cryptographic hashes of extracted OCR data for instant verification against government registries.

Customizable Data Retention Policies

Introduction of granular data retention controls. Compliance officers will be able to set specific auto-deletion schedules for different document classes (e.g., automatically purge utility bills after 90 days, but retain signed contracts for 5 years), ensuring strict adherence to the UAE PDPL data minimization principles. Operators will receive automated alerts 7 days prior to any permanent scheduled deletion.

Looking Ahead (Q1 2027)

Native Mobile Applications for Operators

While the DocChat platform is entirely mobile-responsive, we recognize that relationship managers operate on the go. We are developing native iOS and Android applications for the Operator Console, featuring biometric authentication and push notifications for urgent document uploads. This enables instantaneous approval workflows during high-priority client meetings.

AI-Assisted Fraud Detection

Deployment of a proprietary, UAE-hosted machine learning model designed to detect subtle indicators of document tampering and synthetic identity fraud. This model will operate strictly within our secure boundary, ensuring no client data is transmitted to third-party AI providers. The engine will flag anomalies such as inconsistent typography on passports or digital manipulation artifacts in PDFs.

Multi-Jurisdictional Compliance Frameworks

While our current architecture is laser-focused on CBUAE and UAE PDPL compliance, we are expanding our framework mapping to natively support compliance reporting for institutions operating across the broader GCC region (including SAMA in Saudi Arabia and the CBB in Bahrain). A unified compliance dashboard will allow regional CCOs to monitor adherence across multiple regulatory domains simultaneously.
